Sjösidan Falun is a fantastic destination that attracts visitors all year round – we are working to make Sjösidan Falun a boundary-crossing place for meaningful encounters.

Sjösidan Falun is located on Främby Udde by Lake Runn, just four kilometers from central Falun. In winter, Runn offers wonderful ice-skating opportunities, while summer is filled with boating, kayaking, swimming, and sunbathing. Here, you’ll find a creative and inspiring environment, perfect for new meetings and new adventures.

The heart of the area is Villa Herdin, a grand merchant’s villa from the late 19th century. It was built as a summer residence for businessman Oscar Herdin and his wife Olga. The couple hosted many gatherings here, with frequent guests including the renowned artist couple Carl and Karin Larsson.

At Sjösidan Falun, we are creating a unique atmosphere where history meets the present, and people meet each other. Some stay for a few days, combining outdoor activities with work.

Others come for ice skating and happen to meet people who later become friends and business partners.
